'Bill Clinton Likes Them Young': Jeffrey Epstein's Unsealed Files Expose Sex Scandal

Dozens of previously sealed court documents related to Jeffrey Epstein were made public late Wednesday, as a court released more records from a years-old lawsuit connected to the late financier.

A court in New York decided to expose the names associated with the notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The names constitute 170 illustrious individuals from various walks of life. The first 40 documents, of around 250 expected to be unsealed eventually, primarily mention figures whose names were already known, including high-profile friends of Epstein's and victims who have spoken publicly.

The names include bigwigs from the world of politics, science, and business. Names such as former US Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, as well as Stephen Hawking, have come up during the investigation.

The former US President has been named 'Doe 36' several times (about 50 times) in the documents. Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein's victims, claimed that Clinton visited Epstein's private island with two young women. Although the politician denied the claims, flight records have shown that he had used Epstein's plane to travel to places such as Paris, Bangkok, and Brunei. Johanna Sjoberg, another Epstein victim, in her 2016 deposition, recounted Epstein's claim that "Clinton likes them young."

Stephen Hawking

An email from Epstein to his paramour, British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell shows that the late financier offered huge rewards to Giuffre's friends to silence her claims of the late British scientist Stephen Hawkings participating in an orgy in 2006. "You can issue a reward to any of Virginia's friends, acquaints, family that come forward and help prove her allegations are false. The strongest is the Clinton dinner, and the new version in the Virgin Islands that Stephen Hawking participated in an underage orgy," read the email, as per the Irish News.

However, another revelation from the documents has claimed that the late scientist did not participate in the underage orgy. However, he was a guest at a conference on the island. The event was sponsored by Epstein.

As per the documents, Sjoberg also claimed that she met late pop icon Michael Jackson and illusionist David Copperfield in Epstein's house in Palm Beach, however, she denied giving Jackson a massage.

Prince Andrew

Prince Andrew, a member of the British Royal family, is also among the accused. Giuffre claimed she was trafficked to Prince Andrew in March 2001. Some of the documents were shared with the public after US District Judge Loretta Preska ruled that there is no legal basis for maintaining the confidentiality of the names mentioned in the Epstein files last month. The documents are part of a lawsuit filed in 2015 by Giuffre. She claimed that the late financier hired her as a massage therapist when she was 17 and sexually abused her. She was also made to service several men in Epstein's orbit.

A millionaire known for associating with celebrities, politicians, billionaires and academic stars, Epstein was initially arrested in Palm Beach, Florida, in 2005 after he was accused of paying a 14-year-old girl for sex.

Dozens of other underage girls described similar sexual abuse, but prosecutors ultimately allowed the financier to plead guilty in 2008 to a charge involving a single victim. He served 13 months in a jail work-release program. Some famous acquaintances abandoned Epstein after his conviction, including former presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, but many did not.

Epstein continued to mingle with the rich and famous for another decade, often through philanthropic work. Reporting by the Miami Herald renewed interest in the scandal, and federal prosecutors in New York charged Epstein in 2019 with sex trafficking. He killed himself in jail while awaiting trial.

The U.S. attorney in Manhattan then prosecuted Epstein's former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, for helping recruit his underage victims. She was convicted in 2021 and is serving a 20-year prison term.
