In an incredible stroke of luck, a resident of Tamil Nadu won a mega jackpot prize in a raffle he entered during his stay in the United Arab Emirates. He is now the ¡®first winner outside the UAE¡¯ to win this grand prize.
What kind of jackpot is it?
Magesh Kumar Natarajan made history by becoming the first person outside of the UAE to have won this grand lottery. He will be paid ?5.5 lakh (Dh 25,000) monthly for the next 25 years.
Where and when was the jackpot winner announced?
Natarajan visited UAE in 2019 to work for four years. He stayed in the country till earlier this year and that is when he played a game of FAST5 Grand Prize of Emirates Draw. He won the prize on Friday in the UAE.

Why he says he didn't believe it?
Coming from a humble background, at first, he was in disbelief that he won the grand prize. It was only when officials from the Emirates Draw made the life-changing call that Magesh genuinely believed that he won.
¡°I faced a lot of challenges in my life and during my studies. Many people from society helped me to complete my education. It¡¯s my time to give back to society. I will ensure that my contribution to society reaches needy people," he told PTI.
¡°It was an unbelievable moment that turned out to be one of the happiest and memorable days of my life," he said.
¡°I am also planning to invest in my daughters' education and secure a brighter future for my family," he said.
How did the winner get to know of this jackpot?
His frequent journeys through Dubai introduced him to the city's renowned draws, sparking his curiosity and ultimately leading him to stumble upon Emirates Draw.
