Family and close friends gathered to say goodbye to Liam Payne, six weeks after his demise at 31. Aside from his One Direction bandmates, Payne's funeral was attended by his girlfriend Kate Cassidy, mentor Simon Cowell, and television host James Corden.
Liam Payne was laid to rest on November 20, a month after his untimely death at 31. The One Direction singer died on October 16 following a fatal fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The private funeral service for the late pop star took place in St. Mary's Church, Amersham, Buckinghamshire, with his inner circle gathered to pay their respects. Aside from his One Direction bandmates, Payne's grieving family was joined by industry mogul Simon Cowell, TV personality James Corden, and Payne's partner, Kate Cassidy, among others.

Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy was in attendance at his funeral on Wednesday. Dressed in a black fur-collared coat and sunglasses, she arrived at the private ceremony with her friend Damian Hurley, 22, who is the son of actress Liz Hurley.

For the unversed, it was Simone Cowell's vision that helped in creating One Direction which would go on to become a global phenomenon. The X Factor judge spotted the boys in Season 7 and put them together to form a five-piece band after recognising their talent. Before their indefinite hiatus in 2016, the group conquered the music world with five hit albums and four record-breaking tours.

After landing his host's job at The Late Late Show in the US, Corden had frequently welcomed One Direction as guests. The boy band also appeared in his famous Carpool Karaoke segment.
Among others who attended the intimate ceremony included Cheryl Cole, Liam's former partner and the mother to his seven-year-old son Bear. She was joined by Marvin and Rochelle Humes at the service. BBC Radio 2 host Scott Mills, the presenter Adrian Chiles and the footballer Robbie Keane also marked their attendance.
