Meet Wild Thang, the 8-year-old Pekingese from Coos Bay, Oregon, who recently clinched the coveted title of 'World's Ugliest Dog' at the 2024 World¡¯s Ugliest Dog Contest on June 21.
Known for participating in the contest multiple times, Wild Thang finally took the top spot after securing second place three times in previous years.
Competing against seven other unique canines at California's fairgrounds, Wild Thang's distinctive appearance and undeniable charm won over the judges.
Sponsored by Mug Root Beer, the competition not only brought fame but also a substantial cash prize.
Wild Thang bagged $5,000 (Rs 4,17,750 INR) for the win, while the second and third place winners received $3,000 and $2,000 respectively.
Adding to the accolades, Wild Thang will be featured on a limited-edition can of Mug Root Beer.
