Musk vs Altman gets uglier, Elon agrees with claim that OpenAI co-founder could sabotage Trump
Elon Musk and Sam Altman have been involved in a public spat on X since Wednesday following the announcement of the AI joint venture called Stargate. Musk fired the first shot by claiming that they "don't actually have the money".
The online spat between Tesla CEO Elon Musk and OpenAI co-founder Sam Altman shows no signs of ending anytime soon. The two technopreneurs, who had been at odds for some time, renewed their rivalry recently following Trump's announcement of a $500 billion AI project involving ChatGPT's creator OpenAI, SoftBank, and Oracle.
Altman could sabotage Trump
On Friday, Musk, the right-hand man of the 47th US President, endorsed a post on X that claimed, "There are a thousand different ways Sam Altman can sabotage Trump."
The original post by Mike Cernovich, an American right-wing influencer, criticised OpenAI's latest offering, Operator, an AI agent that performs tasks autonomously.
Cernovich pointed out that the only news sites in Operator are The Atlantic, Axios, Associated Press, and Reuters.
"This being out in the open is a major f**k you to Trump, he¡¯s mocking everyone to their faces," Cernovich said.
Reposting Cernovich's post, Musk wrote: "True".

Elon Musk vs Sam Altman
Musk and Altman have been involved in a public spat on X since Wednesday following the announcement of the AI joint venture called Stargate.
Musk fired the first shot by claiming that they "don't actually have the money". Altman responded, saying that the claim was untrue. While Altman tried to calm the situation by saying he respected Musk's accomplishments, the Tesla CEO hit back even stronger, this time posting the screenshot of the OpenAI co-founder's tweet about Trump's loss in the 2020 election.
i genuinely respect your accomplishments and think you are the most inspiring entrepreneur of our time

Altman once again tried damage control by saying his views on Trump have changed recently.
In an apparent effort to reassure that Stargate doesn't lack funds as claimed by Musk, Altman also shared a video of the project's first site in Texas.

What Trump said about Elon Musk vs Sam Altman
As Musk and Altman continue to go back and forth, Trump has broken his silence on the matter and acknowledged that the Tesla CEO has a problem with one of the people involved in Stargate.
"He hates one of the people in the deal. People in the deal are very, very smart people. But, Elon, one of the people he happens to hate. I have certain hatreds of people, too," Trump said, while adding that he doesn't know if the project has enough funding.
