At least three Russian special forces fighters from the GRU Spetsnaz have been killed in the battle in Mariupol, in the past couple of days.
Ukrainian authorities have named three of the dead Russian fighters as Captain Konstantin Druzhkov, Islam Abduragimov, 19, and Shamil Aselderov, based on their documents were discovered in a captured Tigr armoured vehicle.
Spetsnaz is an abbreviation of the Russian phrase for "special purpose forces" and GRU spetsnaz was among the top special forces fighters deployed by Moscow in Ukraine.
According to some Russian social media handles, Captian Druzhkov has been 'missing' since March 20.

Druzhkov had been serving in the military intelligence HQ of Russia¡¯s southern military district and was involved in fighting in the Donbas in 2014.
He is said to have been using the pseudonym Konstantin Dzhugashvili on social media.
Dzhugashvili was the real family name of Soviet leader, Josef Stalin.
Military experts believe that 11 members from one GRU Spetsnaz brigade had already perished in the battle for Mariupol earlier this month.
This comes as the Russian death toll in the war is mounting despite the advancements they have made on the ground.
According to reports, Russia has so far lost 15 top commanders including five colonels since the invasion of Ukraine began.
Colonel Alexei Sharov became the latest high-ranking Russian official to die in what has become the country's biggest loss of military higher-ups since World War II. His death was announced by Ukrainian armed forces on social media Tuesday.

The commander of the 810th Guards Separate Order of Zhukov Brigade in the Russian Marines, Sharov was reportedly killed in Mariupol, where a fierce battle for control is on.
Russian officials have been tight-lipped on the losses the country has suffered in the war.
Until now only once Russia has talked about the men it lost in the war.
President Vladimir Putin had on March 2 admitted that 498 Russian soldiers were killed in the war that started on February 24.
However, on Monday, Komsomolskaya Pravda, a Russian newspaper, known to be close to Kremlin had published a report, saying nearly 10,000 Russian troops have been killed in the war in Ukraine.
Citing the Russian Ministry of Defense, reported that 9,861 Russian troops had died and 16,153 had been wounded in Ukraine since Russia launched its invasion on February 24.
But the report was soon pulled down and claimed that it was an act of some hackers.
While it is impossible to verify the figures, Ukraine claims to have killed around 15,000 Russian soldiers so far.
The US and other western intelligence agencies, however, put the Russian toll so far over 7,000.
