A Football Club In England Sacks Cheerleaders Because Its Players Get Distracted During Matches
How weird is that?
Distractions are ordinary when it comes to sport. For a cricketer, something on the side screen can be a distraction and for a footballer anything thrown on to the field can affect his concentration.
But here's one club where cheerleaders proved to be the biggest distraction for its players. A non-league club in England, Billericay Town, has banned its cheerleaders because they tend to distract their players.
One of the club owners, Glenn Templin, said, "We have had to let the cheerleaders go as the lads were becoming unfocused and some of the girls (not all) sending their numbers to them.¡±
There are rumours that Templin has gone back on his word. Now we hope the footballers don't get distracted even further.
