Currently, Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal's personal lives have been far from private, with fans storming social media to create their own narratives as rumours of a divorce began circulating.
The speculation started after fans noticed that the two had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Yuzvendra also deleted all photos featuring Dhanashree from his account, while the latter still retained a few pictures of him on hers. This revelation was enough to ignite a hate train！but it was directed against Dhanashree.

Amid all this, many, especially women took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to highlight the double standards. They pointed out how netizens were quick to target Dhanashree with hate while Yuzvendra Chahal was seen publicly with another woman.
Some even questioned why Chahal never defended his wife when she faced hate since their marriage but was quick to make a statement when the accusations turned toward him. Many shared examples of how Virat Kohli was quick to shut down the hate towards Anushka Sharma since the time they were dating.

Recently, Yuzvendra Chahal addressed the "curiosity surrounding" his personal life and urged his followers to stop speculating about "matters that may or may not be true." His statement came just days after Dhanashree Verma commented on the ongoing rumours.
"I am grateful to all my fans for their unwavering love and support, without which I wouldn¨t have come this far. But this journey is far from OVER!!! There are still many incredible OVERS left to deliver for my country, my team, and my fans!" Yuzvendra began in his Instagram post.
"While I am proud to be a sportsman, I am also a Son, a Brother, and a Friend. I understand the curiosity surrounding recent events, particularly about my personal life. However, I have noticed certain social media posts speculating on matters that may or may not be true," he continued.
"As a Son, a Brother, and a Friend, I humbly request everyone not to indulge in these speculations, as they have caused immense pain to me and my family. My family values have taught me to always wish well for all, strive to achieve success through dedication and hard work instead of taking shortcuts, and I remain committed to these values. With Divine Blessings, I shall forever strive to seek your love and support！not sympathy," the cricketer concluded.

Dhanashree Verma was the first to address the rumours surrounding her marriage, dismissing them as baseless and devoid of factual evidence. "The past few days have been incredibly tough for my family and me. What¨s truly upsetting is the baseless writing, devoid of fact-checking, and the character assassination of my reputation by faceless trolls spreading hate. I¨ve worked hard for years to build my name and integrity. My silence is not a sign of weakness but of strength," she wrote in her statement.
She further stated: "While negativity spreads easily online, it takes courage and compassion to uplift others. I choose to focus on my truth and move forward, holding onto my values. The truth stands tall without the need for justification. Om Namah Shivaay."
