India has been the most dominant team in the ACC U19 Asia Cup, having won the title eight times from 10 final appearances. Their journey began with a win in the inaugural edition in 1989, defeating Sri Lanka by 79 runs. They retained their dominance in 2003, once again overcoming Sri Lanka. Among their other notable triumphs was the tied final against Pakistan in 2012 and wins in 2013-14, 2016, and 2018, where they consistently outplayed Sri Lanka. Bangladesh reached their peak in the 2023 tournament, claiming their first-ever title with a dominant 195-run victory over the UAE. Their previous best performance came in 2019, when they narrowly lost to India by just 5 runs in a thrilling, low-scoring final.
