Shocking Scenes Unfold As Lyon Vs Besiktas Europa Tie Gets Delayed Due To Fan Violence
The ugly side of the beautiful game.
Turkish fans clashed with rival supporters and security forces in the run-up to kick-off before they invaded the pitch resulting in a 45-minute delay to the Europa match between Lyon and Besiktas
The violence came in the same week that the Borussia Dortmund team bus was attacked with explosives in Germany and Leicester City fans had clashed with police in Madrid.
Despite the problems, Lyon had the last laugh, coming back from a goal down to win 2-1 in the dying stages.

Former Liverpool star Ryan Babel gave Besiktas a 15th-minute lead before Corentin Tolisso and Jeremy Morel hit goals in the 83rd and 84th minutes to give the French club a lifeline.
Minutes before kickoff, hundreds of fans spilled onto the pitch for their own safety as fireworks were set off and missiles hurled from the Turkish fan stand.
