Fans Pay Tribute To Dhoni As They Feel The End Is Near After He Was Not In BCCI's Contract List
Even as there is a lot of speculation on MS Dhoni's future, the BCCI dropped a bomb when they announced the name of 20 contracted players for this year. Dhoni's name was missing from the list and that adds more fuel to the fire on his place in the side.

Dhoni has not played for India since July last year and Rishabh Pant has pretty much taken his place behind the stumps. Captain Cool turns 39 this year and is clearly in the twilight of his career.
Nonetheless, coach Ravi Shastri did say that if he played well in the IPL, he would have a shot at a place in the World T20 squad.
The contract is from October 2019 to September 2020. The World T20 is in October, so Dhoni technically has a chance. But needless to say, the odds are less and this may be a subtle message from the BCCI for him to bring down the curtain.
Needless to say, fans could not stop wondering if this was the end and Twitter was flooded. Here's what they had to say:
A player like MS comes once in a lifetime. He made a big impact wth his captaincy n his tremendous batting skills. The way he'd captained Indian team is remarkable. No matter hw many smrt captain will come bt no one can match the legacy of this man.#ThankYouDhoni #MSDhoni #Thala pic.twitter.com/s6gh21R9M1

#MSDhoni Is this end of an era? #BCCI at least give him the respect that he deserves as a champion cricketer of the country. Never expected the end of any respected cricketer like this.

Since his debut in 2004, Dhoni has represented India in over 500 international games across formats. Under his leadership we won the World T20, became No. 1 in Tests for the first time and brought home the World Cup after 28 years. Truly a legacy worth remembering.
