Priyam Garg To Lead As India Announce Squad For U-19 Cricket World Cup
India have announced their squad for the 2020 U-1 9 Cricket World Cup. The 13th edition of the quadrennial tournament will be held in South Africa between January 17 and February 9. Record four time champions India have confirmed the 15-member squad. Uttar Pradesh batsman Priyam Garg has been named as the captain.

The 13th edition of the quadrennial tournament will be held in South Africa between January 17 and February 9. India have now confirmed the 15-member squad that will travel to South Africa in January.
Uttar Pradesh batsman Priyam Garg has been named as the captain of the 15-member squad which will head to South Africa. Dhruv Chand Jurel has been named as the vice-captain. He will also handle the wicketkeeping duties. Kumal Kushagra has also been named as wicketkeeper in the squad.

India will also be defending their U-19 World Cup title. In 2018, India, led by Prithvi Shaw and coached by then U-19 coach Rahul Dravid, clinched glory by beating Australia in New Zealand in the final. Indian colts will go into the tournament looking to add to already four titles won over the course of time.
Ahead of the World Cup, the India U-19 team will travel to South Africa for three one-day matches against the Proteas U-19 side, followed by a Quadrangular Series featuring South Africa U-19, India U-19, Zimbabwe U-19 and New Zealand U-19.
