• 1. You can change your Google Play Store country only once per year. Once you switch to a new location, you can't switch back for another year.
• 2. Google requires you to change your payment method to ensure it works in the new country you've switched to. You will need a payment option from your new country.
• 3. It's not unusual to lose access to some content after switching your location on Google Play Store. Some books, movies, TV shows, games, and apps will be lost it they're not available in your new country.
• 4. Your old Google Play balance will not work in the country. If you switch back to your old country, you'll get access to your balance again.
• 5. Prepare to lose access to your Google Play Points when you switch your country.
• 6. Subscribers of Google Play Pass, your subscription will only work in the new country if the service is available there.

You'll have to create a new profile to change your country on Google Play Store. You must be physically present in the country for it to work and you'll need a valid payment method in the new country as well.

• 1. Open your desktop and head to Google Play Settings on the website.
• 2. Under the Payments option, click the pencil icon next to Country/Regions.
• 3. Now, tap on Create New Profile and select the country of your choice on the next page.
• 4. On-screen instructions will tell you how to add a new payment method and a new address.
• 5. Once your payment method and address is updated, Google Play Store will change your location in 48 hours.

How to change your Google Play Store country on mobile

Use your Android device to change your Google Play Store location by following the steps below.

• 1. Open the Google Play Store app and tap the profile icon in the upper-right corner.
• 2. Now tap Settings and click on General.
• 3. Here, select Account >> Device Preferences >> Country and Profiles.
• 4. Now, select the country to which your account needs to be changed to. This will only work if Google detects that you're in a new location.

If you want to bypass Google's requirement of being present in a country physically to change your location, you can use a Virtual Private Network (VPN). This masks your real IP address and location.

• 1. Connect to a VPN of your choice and choose the country to which you wish to change your Google Play Store default to. Remember, if you do this, you will not be able to change your country for a year - so it might not be the brightest idea.
• 2. Head to Google Play Store and click on the pencil icon next to Country/Region and select Create New Profile.
• 3. Now choose the country of your choice - the same as the country you picked on your VPN app.
• 4. Add a new payment method and you're done.
