Users Can Shop On Amazon Through Instagram And Facebook: Here's How
The new experience allows users to fulfil their shopping needs directly from their social media apps. Currently, the feature is available to Amazon users in the United States.
You can buy products from the Amazon marketplace through Facebook and Instagram. The new partnership between Meta and Amazon was spotted by Disruptive Digital CEO Maurice Rahmey. The new experience allows users to fulfil their shopping needs directly from their social media apps. Currently, the feature is available to Amazon users in the United States.
In a screen recording, Rahmey showed the process wherein users may complete an Amazon purchase with a few taps on Facebook.
How to shop on Amazon via Facebook, Instagram
In order to buy products on Amazon through Meta's Facebook and Instagram platforms, users need to link their accounts. Once users log in with their Amazon credentials and agree to share their data with Meta, they may continue to shop directly.
The shopping content will appear as sponsored posts on Instagram or Facebook, as the screen recording shows. Users will then be available to order from the app itself by linking their Amazon account, instead of being redirected to the Amazon app or website.

This partnership, Rahmey explained, would benefit both companies in various ways. Amazon would receive more transaction fee due to Meta's vast userbase and ads network, while also allowing sellers to improve their conversion volume.
Meta, too would benefit from more data it receives from Amazon users and increased conversions could benefit its own platforms. US customers would have access to details from Amazon about their ordered items, including estimated time of delivery, product details, and real-time pricing. For now, there's no word on whether will service will be rolled out to other regions such as Europe and Asia.
