A group of users on Twitter have created an online app where they¡¯re updating information regarding the availability of Covid-19 hospital beds, oxygen cylinders or medicine for people to access and update in order to help people during this pandemic.

With COVID-19 cases in India skyrocketing, we¡¯ve been seeing an immense load being put on not just the medical infrastructure but also the demand for specific medicines.
And for a patient/ their family member, sourcing these medicines or the availability of a hospital bed is getting more challenging, with more cases surfacing every day.
We¡¯ve been seeing several posts on social media about how people have been putting a list of details surrounding oxygen cylinders, medicines or even availability of hospital beds. But for someone who either has gotten infected or has loved ones who are infected, trying to scour through the internet for this information can be an arduous task.
However, today, I stumbled upon a tweet by one Manan Gandhi who is trying to make things simpler.

Manan Gandhi teamed up with an app developer named Amit Sarda along with a few others and created an online app dubbed ¡®Covid Resource¡¯, on the online app platform Glide.

Covid-19 care essentials
The app collates all information surrounding essential items into one uniform platform. On the app, a person can easily look for COVID-19 essentials, (either for themselves or for a friend/family member) like medicines, oxygen cylinders, availability of hospital beds and other essential things, specific to states and cities around the nation.
Some states and cities also get information on tiffin services, blood plasma, and other Covid-19 emergency essentials.

The database on the app has been created from Google Docs that are being shared on Twitter and other social media platforms.

The database for the app is also being constantly updated by an active Twitter community, adding more information for more cities and states of the nation. Moreover, the app also allows regular users to suggest additions in a particular category.
Verifying data is a challenge
It is however crucial to note that some of the data available on the app might be dated or could also be incorrect, as more people start adding information which becomes harder to verify or takes longer to correct.

However, to circumvent this problem, they also have a verified tick against certain data which has already been validated by the developers.
