India Has One Of World's Slowest Mobile Internet Speeds, Reveals Global Survey
According to the study, India ranks 95th when it comes to the number of users using the internet. Internet affordability has dropped 75 percent since last year, putting India on the 47th position.
India has one of the slowest mobile internet speeds in the world, according to a recent survey conducted by popular VPN brand Surfshark.

Dubbed the Digital Quality of Life study, India ranks 59th among 110 nations in terms of mobile internet speed, dropping two positions since last year.
For the study, Surfshark surveyed over 6.9 billion people around the world on the kind of internet services they¡¯re currently using based on five parameters -- internet affordability, internet quality, electronic infrastructure, electronic security and electronic government.
India ranked 47th in the internet affordability category, 67th in the internet quality category, 91st in electronic infrastructure, 36th in electronic security and 33rd in electronic government.
To put this into perspective, India ranks lower than Bangladesh in terms of electronic infrastructure, ranks higher compared to internet affordability, internet quality and electronic government. Apparently, India¡¯s electronic security also seems to be better than China¡¯s by almost 76 percent since last year.

Today, people in India will have to work 1 minute and 15 seconds more to afford the cheapest 1GB data pack -- 40 seconds more when compared to 2020.
Looking at overall scores, Denmark ranks top on the list followed by South Korea and Finland. The nations last on the list include Ethiopia, Cambodia, Cameroon, Guatemala and Angola.
