Mark Zuckerberg Joked About FB's Privacy Fails And Literally No One Laughed As It's Not Funny

At Facebook's developer conference yesterday, F8 2019, the company once more repeated that it's moving towards user privacy in all endeavours. Of course, that wasn't before Mark Zuckerberg joked about how they've dropped the privacy ball multiple times.
The Facebook CEO got up on stage to deliver his keynote in typical robot fashion, devoid of any human feeling or emotion. He went on at length about the company's new policy of user privacy. Great, considering their past record. Of course though, the only time Zuckerberg smiled on stage was when delivering the worst joke he possibly could have.

That's right, Zuckerberg thought it would be hilarious to remind everyone how they let third parties use your data for a number of nefarious purposes, all without telling users. Isn't that funny?
Ha ha ha. He made a joke about user privacy. Hilarious, man. Did you hear the one about Cambridge Analytica and an election? Laughed so hard I cried.

"Even Mark Zuckerberg couldn't keep a straight face." https://t.co/OGy4dlamyq
Not only is this so awkward to watch, but the last few weeks of Facebook don't seem to indicate this bad joke is over. In just a couple of months, Facebook has again exposed the data of millions of users, leaked their private photos, and so much more. At this point, it's hard to take anything the robot says seriously.
Maybe his PR team thought acknowledging the multiple failures in a tone-deaf one-liner would endear Zuckerberg to us? Maybe he just forgot what his real line was supposed to be? Either way, bad choice of humour my man.
