Tim Cook Says He Won't Be Apple CEO For 10 More Years, Despite Feeling Great
Tim Cook became a part of Apple in the year 1998, after leaving the popular PC company Compaq to streamline operations for Apple.
Apple is one of the most respected and richest companies in the world. While no doubt Steve Jobs was a big reason behind Apple's success in the 2000s, but Tim Cook has managed to drive Apple into unchartered territories under his leadership all through the 2010s till now.
However, in a recent interview with Kara Swisher (for the New York Times), Apple CEO Tim Cook announced that he doesn¡¯t plan on being at Apple for another decade.

When Swisher asked if he would be with the Apple for 10 more years, Tim Cook responded stating, ¡°10 more years, I probably not. But I can tell you that I feel great right now. And the date¡¯s not in sight. But 10 more years is a long time and probably not 10 more years.¡±
When asked what he would be doing if not running Apple, Tim Cook replied, ¡°I don¡¯t have a clue, because I love this company so much, that it¡¯s hard to imagine my life without it and so I don¡¯t think I will know that until after I¡¯m not here. Because I think I¡¯ll run so fast that I¡¯ll never really think about it until I¡¯m not running anymore. Does that make any sense?"

Tim Cook joined Apple in 1998, after leaving the popular PC company Compaq (which eventually became a part of Hewlett-Packard or HP as we know it today). His forte from the very beginning has been a master of operations involving clever management of resources and his goal was to streamline operations of the tech company. His interview with Jobs lasted a good 11 hours before he was selected for the company.
Steve Jobs appointed Tim Cook as his successor after his illness got worse and couldn¡¯t commit to work as he used to, while stating, ¡°I believe Apple¡¯s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.¡±

Today, Tim Cook has been a part of Apple for around 23 years, and almost ten years of this stint has been as the CEO of Apple (since 2011). He was also responsible for bringing Apple¡¯s market cap to touch over $2 trillion.
