According to reports, UAE Hope Mission to Mars successfully reached red planet on Tuesday, February 9 at approximately 9:44 PM Indian Standard Time earlier this evening.
By doing so, UAE's Hope Mission has created history -- becoming the first Arab-made spacecraft to reach Mars orbit and will subsequently embark on scientific study and research of Mars and adding to humanity's knowledge about our nearest planet.
Much like India's Mangalyaan mission, UAE Hope Mission to Mars also had a similar story -- spending over seven months in space and six years since it was greenlit, UAE's Hope Mission defied a 50 per cent risk of failure to enter the Mars orbit successfully, according to a report by The National.
Success!

Contact with #HopeProbe has been established again.
The Mars Orbit Insertion is now complete.#ArabsToMars
The first Arab mission to Mars had to overcome insurmountable odds -- travelling 493.5 million km through space before sending the successful signal back to Hope Mission Control in Dubai from 190 million km away, after a tense few moments of complete radio blackout.
Even the iconic and world's tallest skyscraper, Dubai's Burj Khalifa relayed the news of Hope Mission's successfully reaching Mars orbit in its unique style, putting on quite a light show and an overall dazzling display.
Historic achievement. #BurjKhalifa announces the successful entry of #HopeProbe into Mars orbit. The #UAE has become only the fifth country to arrive in Mars and the third country to accomplish the feat on first try. For more details: https://t.co/alaApUVNSF @gulf_news pic.twitter.com/4kRoVhSrOV
