WhatsApp Beta Spotted Testing New User Interface For Voice Call Screen
The current screen has a flat, single colour background with the profile image at the centre. That has now been changed with segmented squares in a dark black background.
In case you¡¯re someone who makes a lot of WhatsApp calls, you could soon see a new calling UI for voice and video calls on the app, according to a new feature spotted by WABetaInfo on WhatsApp¡¯s newest beta.

The aesthetic upgrade seems to be an extension of the recent update that brought joinable WhatsApp calls for group conversations, where users could join a call after they've accidentally or willingly dropped out of it, if the participants of the call remain active.
The current screen has a flat, single colour background with the profile image at the centre. That has now been changed with segmented squares in a dark black background.
The lower buttons remain in a similar fashion as the previous button, but the overall aesthetic with segmented blocks does look cool and resonates well with both iOS and Android¡¯s recent UI changes.
The feature tipster shared screenshots of what the caller screen looks like. The screenshots appear to be of the iOS versions of the app. Although similar changes could be expected on the Android version of the app, if they do make it to the final build of the app.
We don¡¯t really know if and when we¡¯ll get to see these call-screen UI upgrades, but from the looks of it, it wouldn¡¯t take really long to do so.
