BTS' J-Hope is all set to shine at the Gala des Pi¨¨ces Jaunes in Paris, joined by stars like Ros¨¦ and G-Dragon. ARMY plans to light the arena purple for J-Hope, sparking backlash from other fans as the drama heats up on social media.
After announcing his solo tour, BTS rapper J-Hope is gearing up for a spectacular performance at the prestigious Gala des Pi¨¨ces Jaunes in Paris, marking another milestone in his flourishing solo career. The charity event, scheduled for January 23 at Paris La D¨¦fense Arena, will also feature many French artists along with BLACKPINK's Ros¨¦, BigBang's G-Dragon, Katy Perry, John Legend, Burna Boy, Gims, Lang Lang, Pretty Yende, and the Lamoureux Orchestra.
Many are excited about the strong K-pop presence this year particularly BTS fans called ARMY. They have claimed to have secured more than half the tickets to see their favorite artist after months of missing him due to mandatory South Korean military service.

While fans of other artists were already upset about this situation, ARMY has now given them another reason to feel concerned¡ªand even angry.
What's the drama?
The BTS fandom, ARMY, has decided that since they hold the majority of tickets to the charity event, they will bring their lightsticks, called "ARMY Bombs," and set them to the colour purple during J-Hope's performance to honour him. This decision has upset fans of other artists, as their lightsticks don't necessarily change colours. They wanted ARMY to adjust their lightsticks to "pink" for Ros¨¦ and "yellow" for G-Dragon as well.
However, BTS fans on X (formerly known as Twitter) were quick to remind other fandoms how they had joined forces in the "hate train" against BTS since the year began. ARMY attendees have stated they will change their lightsticks to purple for J-Hope and then keep them white for all other artists performing. This has surely not sat well with K-pop fans, leading to another fight on X.
