Was BTS' J-Hope disrespected by Organizers?
Despite J-Hope's explosive performance and the overwhelming support from ARMY, controversy arose regarding how the event's organizers treated the BTS star. Fans noted that J-Hope's name was excluded from the performers' list multiple times, a move many felt was disrespectful.

Videos from the event showed ARMY in full force, lighting up the venue with their signature ARMY Bombs, switching from purple (the fandom's colour) to red for "MIC Drop." The crowd sang along to every word and even performed the BTS fan chant, making it feel like a BTS concert with only one member present.

However, many present at the gala pointed out that the colourful wristbands distributed at the event remained yellow during J-Hope's performance, only changing colours for the other artists. Many expressed their frustration on social media, especially X (formerly known as Twitter).
One fan wrote, "I take it back¡ªthey didn¡¯t underestimate him; they blatantly disrespected him."
