However, there is still a chance for you to witness some rare occurrences in the night sky. After the penumbral lunar eclipse on June 5-6. On the nights of June 6, 7 and 8, the moon will be visible with the planets Jupiter and Saturn.
You can either stay up late or see them before day break, ascending in the east. Jupiter and Saturn have been close to each other in the sky for quite some time now and on June 6-8, they will be visible with the moon. The two planets will appear with the waning moon in a line-up.
This month, and for some months to come, Saturn will closely follow Jupiter westward across the sky.
"This is an excellent opportunity to see them close together," ABC News quotes amateur astronomer, Ian Musgrave, as saying. Even though Saturn is not very bright in the sky, it will be visible at the moment according to Dr Musgrave.
"It's in an area without very many bright stars,¡± he said.
As long as the skies are free of clouds, you will not have difficulty in spotting the two planets near the moon.
