Jupiter And Moon Will Be Visible Together On May 12! Here's When & How To Watch Them
Click here to find out how you can spot Jupiter and Moon together on May 12. They will be visible to naked eye.
Stargazing, these days, has been nothing short of an adventure as spotting constellations has never been easier (thanks to the lack of pollution). Out of the few things the beautiful clear sky has to offer these days, one rather exciting event is coming soon. Last month, in a spectacular event, Jupiter, Saturn, Mars and the moon hung close together for three days! Now the moon is back to hanging out with Jupiter this month and you do not require a telescope to see them together!
The moon and Jupiter are set to have a close encounter on the morning of May 12. One will be able to see them, starting a bit after midnight to dawn in the south-southeastern sky.
They will be close, but not so much that they could be visible simultaneously in a telescope. However you don¡¯t even need a telescope, you will be able to see them with the naked eye or through binoculars.
So mark the date - May 12 - and instead of staying up all night to watch OTT shows, get out in the balcony or your terrace to check out the biggest planet of our solar system hanging out with our moon. This month¡¯s full moon was the last supermoon of the year 2020.
On May 7, it was the brightest, however you can still see it shining really bright for the next few days.
Make the most of this lockdown and lack of pollution.
