Lions Hug Caretaker Who Rescued Them As Cubs, Watch The Adorable Video

As humans, the first reaction upon seeing or even thinking about a lion is fear. It can only be a dream where we will think of hugging a lion. The idea of going anywhere close to a lion without any security is goosebumps-inducing.

However, a video is making rounds on the internet where a woman is hugging not only one but two lions.

The video posted by the Reddit user u/yankees88888g, shows the woman hugging two lions from outside a metal fence. The woman approaches the fence and the two lions rush toward her as soon as they see her.

You can hear the heartwarming sounds that lions make when they hug the woman. It is evident from the video that the pair of lions really love the woman and she is far from being scared of the lions as they will never harm her.

The woman in the video, reportedly, is Michaela Zimanova, an animal rescuer.

According to reports, the woman rescued the lions from a ditch in South Africa. However, the lions grew too big for her and she had to give them away to a zoo. The two lions are known as Malkia and Adelle.

The story goes like this: the two lions faced death when rejected by their mother as cubs and so they were taken to a big cat rescue in Slovakia. This is where Michaela helped raise them and formed an eternal love bonding with the lions. This video is from the time when she met the lions after ages, and the big cats still remembered her.

Stories of lion rescue are not new. Recently in India, a lion was rescued from a well. A lion had accidentally fallen into an open well on the agricultural field of one Popatbhai Hirapara at Khilavad village in Gir Gadhada taluka of Gir Somnath.

However, a member of the Jasadhar wildlife rescue centre in Gir (east) wildlife division went down the well, tied a rope around the chest of a lion, and pulled the big cat to the surface without any injury.
