A viral video of a kumki elephant controlling a rogue tusker has surfaced on the internet. In the video, a trained elephant was seen controlling another wild tusker.

"Kumki elephants are usually trained by the Forest department. Mostly orphaned elephant calves raised by d dept are selected and trained. Kumki elephants usually have broader forehead & stronger build to control the wild elephants. More important here is d mahout who trains them (sic)," Officer Sudha Ramen further wrote.
