Sundar Pichai, Google's Indian-origin chief executive officer, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi while attending the Artificial Intelligence Action Summit in Paris. During the meeting, the duo discussed the surprising and incredible opportunities AI can bring to India.
Apart from this, the Google CEO also discussed how Google and India can work together to transform India into a digitally upgraded country. Sundar Pichai also shared a post on X (formerly called Twitter) on Sunday, sharing a glimpse of his meeting with the Prime Minister.

India as a country needs to invest in skilling people for an AI-driven future
The official meeting between Pichai and Narendra Modi took place in Paris on February 10-11. The dignitaries are present there to co-host the AI Action Summit at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron.
While discussing the Artificial Intelligence future, PM Modi addressed the summit, saying that there is a need to 'skill and re-skill' people to prepare them for an AI-driven future.
Loss of jobs is AI's most feared disruption in future
The Prime Minister went on to say that loss of jobs is AI's most feared disruption, but history has proven that work does not appear due to technology¡ªonly its nature changes. Therefore, "We need to invest in skilling and re-skilling our people for an AI-driven future."
On Tuesday, PM Modi opened up about the India-France CEOs Forum in Paris, where he highlighted the importance of boosting economic ties and aiming for innovation.
