'Finally Got To Drive On The Atal Setu': Anand Mahindra Admires The Bridge During A Drive
Anand Mahindra recently went on social media to recount his journey driving across the Atal Setu.
Anand Mahindra, the well-known Indian business tycoon and Chairman of the Mahindra Group, recently took a trip across the Atal Setu bridge, admiring its exceptional engineering brilliance.
Located in the scenic area of Goa, India, the Atal Setu bridge has attracted considerable attention due to its impressive architectural design and robust construction.
Mahindra's visit to the bridge emphasizes its significance as a notable achievement in the country's infrastructure development.
What Impressed Anand Mahindra?
Following his expressed desire to visit, Anand Mahindra has finally recounted his experience of driving across the Atal Setu in Mumbai.
The Chairman of the Mahindra group uploaded a video on X platform, documenting his journey. Since its inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 12, the Atal Setu, India's longest sea bridge, has remained a testament to remarkable engineering.
Mahindra recently took to social media to share his impressions of traversing the Atal Setu. He likened the seamless passage over the bridge to "gliding on water" akin to riding a hovercraft.
His drive, part of a trip to and from Pune during the day, conveyed his eagerness to embark on another journey across the bridge, perhaps to admire its beauty at dusk.
"Finally getting the chance to drive on the Atal Setu last weekend, I must say it's truly a remarkable piece of engineering. The experience resembles riding a hovercraft, smoothly gliding over the water's surface. My journey to and from Pune was during the daytime, so I missed the opportunity to witness the magnificent view at dusk, as depicted in the viral picture on the right," Mahindra expressed.
The bridge, extending over a distance of 21.8 km, includes a 16.5 km sea-link segment. Its completion has led to a substantial decrease in travel duration between Sewri and Nhava Sheva, cutting it down from a two-hour journey to a mere 20 minutes.
