Baby On Board: Female Officers Of The Indian Army Help Deliver Premature Baby On Howrah Express
Two brave Indian Army captains both female who were travelling on board immediately came to her rescue. Captain Lalitha and Captain Amandeep of 172 Military Hospital facilitated the premature delivery of the passengers baby. Both the mother and the baby were healthy.
When a woman who was travelling in Howrah Express went into labour, she had nothing to worry about because two brave Indian Army captains (both female) who were travelling on board, immediately came to her rescue.
Soon after a co-passenger informed them about the incident, Captain Lalitha and Captain Amandeep of 172 Military Hospital, facilitated the premature delivery of the passenger's baby. They also made sure that both the mother and the baby were healthy.
The good news was shared by the official account of Additional Directorate General of Public Information, Indian Army, on Twitter. They tweeted the picture of the two woman officers and wrote, ¡®Captain Lalitha & Captain Amandeep, #IndianArmy 172 Military Hospital, facilitated in the premature delivery of a passenger while traveling on Howrah Express. In another incident, a woman identified as Pooja Munna Chauhan was travelling to Mumbai via Konkan Kanya Express, when she went into labour at around 5:40 am. Chauhan was immediately taken to Thane Railway station¡¯s '1 rupee clinic' in a stretcher, where she successfully delivered her healthy baby.
