MP: Doctor Troubled By Rooster's Crowing Files Police Complaint Against Neighbour

Neighbours can often get on our nerves, and sometimes the nuisance reaches such a peak that only the authorities can absolve it.

Doctor Files Police Report Against Rooster In Indore

Something of the sort conspired when a family decided to house a rooster in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. In classic farm bird fashion, the rooster crows at the top of its lungs on a daily basis. Unlike the films, it's not just a morning call; roosters often crow 13¨C15 times a day. The reasons for the crow can vary from a morning call to announcing territory, making the rooster¡¯s yell a common occurrence throughout the day.

After enduring the loud cries of the animal for quite some time, a neighbour in the area gave up his patience and decided to contact the authorities. Alok Modi, who is a doctor by profession, got so frustrated by the crowing sounds of his neighbour¡¯s rooster that he was forced to file an official police complaint against the rooster, as per NDTV.

Police Has Decided To Resolve The Conflict peacefully

The doctor lives in the Palasia area near the Greater Kailash Hospital in Madhya Pradesh. The police officer in charge at the Palasia station, Sanjay Singh Bains, affirmed that a written complaint had indeed been filed at the doctor's request. To resolve the conflict, the authorities have decided to take a peaceful route. In case the situation cannot be resolved through peaceful means, they will have to follow the criminal procedure to resolve the issue..

The policeman explained, ¡°We will first try to resolve it by talking to both the parties involved. If the problem persists, action will be taken under section 133 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).¡± As per the section, if need be the police will write over the situation as ¡°unlawful obstruction or nuisance¡± in a public space.

In his report, the doctor clearly stated that due to his schedule at the hospital, he reaches home in the middle of the night, and the continuous crowing of his neighbour¡¯s rooster at 5 a.m. interrupts his morning sleep.
