In a video that went viral two days ago, Sunita Yadav, a constable posted in Surat, Gujarat is seen getting into an argument with minister of state for health Kishore Kanani¡¯s son, Prakash, for breaking the lockdown night curfew rules and not wearing masks at her checkpoint.
To be impartial and humane is what defines police officers, but there have been multiple cases of officers crumbling under pressure from 'privileged few'. However, this woman constable from Gujarat refused to be one of them and stood by her moral values and duty as a cop.

The group of people in question were in violation of the 10:00 pm curfew rule. Upon being confronted by Yadav, the MLA's son allegedly said. "I'm son of an MLA, I can make you stand here for 365 days."
She in turn shouted back saying she's not their slave or a servant of their fathers that they can make her stand there for 365 days.
Yadav reportedly called an inspector at the Varachha police station to narrate the matter but was instead asked to leave the spot.
Soon after the video of the confrontation went viral on social media, people lauded Yadav for being unfazed in the face of people abusing power, calling her 'Lady Singham'. Sick of the loopholes in the system, Yadav decided to step down from her post,

However, according to a report by Ahmedabad Mirror, the MLA Kumar Kanani, has a different version of the story, he said that videos were edited and pushed out on social media in four parts. Kanani claims that videos, where Sunita Yadav hurled expletives at his son, had been intentionally deleted. He told Mirror that he asked Sunita Yadav to take legal actions but not use foul language and that his son spoke to her softly with folded hands and adhered to her orders of removing the MLA sign from the car.
Soon after outrage on social media, son of the Gujarat minister and his two friends were arrested on Sunday for allegedly violating the lockdown rules.
Prakash Kanani and two of his friends were arrested under IPC Sections 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant), 269, 270 (negligent and malignant act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life), and 144 (abettor present when offence committed), Assistant Commissioner of Police, A-Division, C K Patel said.
Surat Commissioner of Police R B Brahmbhatt, on Saturday, ordered an inquiry into the incident, after the constable alleged that she was threatened by some men when she stopped them during the night curfew.
