Pointsman Mayur Shelke Honoured By Jawa Motorcycles, Gifted Brand New Bike For Saving Child
Mahindra owned Jawa Motorcycles have come forward to honour the heroic act of Shelke. The motorcycle manufacturer has gifted the brave heart a Jawa 42 Golden Stripes Nebula Blue bike.
You could define bravery in a whole lot of different ways. But if you risk your life to save someone, it is the epitome of being brave. Falling in that category is Mayur Shelke, who has been in the news for all the right reasons.
Recently Shelke, a railway employee, saved a child's life who had fallen from the platform. The child was accompanied by his visually impaired mother whose wails alerted the pointsman who wasted no time in rushing to the scene, picking up the child and saving his life.

The incident took place in at Vangani railway station in Vangani, Maharashtra and incident was captured on CCTV.
His bravery didn't go unnoticed as he was awarded Rs 50,000 by Ministry of Railways. He has since said that he will be donating half of the reward money to the child's family for his welfare and education. He said that he discovered that the family is not financially sound and he would like to help them out.

The company revealed that their unique present to Shelke was a part of their #JawaHeroes initiative.
