A Twitter user in hopes of the west seeking more of the dance music they heard at the Oscars made a suggestion that got support from thousands online.
On hearing the news of ¡®Naatu Naatu¡¯ winning, the user wrote, ¡°love this but i think white people would go feral if they heard chhaiyya chhaiyya.¡±

AR Rehman And Gulzar Were The Geniuses Behind ¡®Chaiyya Chaiyya¡¯
¡®Chaiyya Chaiyya¡¯ is a hit from the 90s that went viral at the time when the Shah Rukh Khan film ¡®Dil Se¡¯ dropped in 1998. The song was composed by AR Rehman and written by Gulzar.
Not only was the music of the song sensational, but the music video too created ripples all over the country as Malaika Arora and SRK danced on a moving train to the gripping beats of the song.
The tweet caused a clash as people thought the original post wanted a Hindi song to trump ¡®Naatu Naatu'. However, the user soon put the sparks to rest, saying, "not you dumbasses fighting amongst yourselves making this a language thing. i am extremely proud of this win but i¡¯m just saying westerners aren¡¯t introduced to south asian music in general and if they start listening to it they¡¯ll never go back."
