Desi weddings are known for their grand, larger-than-life celebrations. With due respect to rituals and customs, such weddings, however, would be incomplete without friends and family setting the dance floor on fire.
From loud music to people getting drunk enough to dance, they¡¯re some proper frills that we embrace.
Old video of Pakistani men dancing during a wedding
Desis are known for their enthusiastic participation in dancing. And to put it in perspective, this is not some off-the-cuff idea or a topic of discussion; it is an undeniable fact.
While some are undeniably good at dancing, a majority of people at weddings do the best they can. While you may meet them at the food stall and during the ceremonies, it is on the dance floor that their true personalities are revealed. You won't be able to help but admire some of them and the others will make you want to roll on the floor laughing.
But if you don't dance, no matter how good or bad, at a desi wedding, you really haven't lived the moments then. An old video going viral again should inspire you to get your dancing shoes on.
A video, purportedly from the '90s, shows a few young Pakistani men grooving to the Bollywood hit 'Ghoongte Mein Chanda' from the movie Koyla.

The video opens with a bride and groom sitting on a sofa as a man flings his arms around and does the hook step made famous by Shah Rukh Khan. Soon, another man joins in and puts on a show for the watching guests.
As the video goes on, another man takes to the stage and the trio then performs some weird, but nonetheless entertaining dance moves.
