Musical Encounter: Watch This Indian Man Singing Neele Neele Ambar in NYC
The video is shared on YouTube by 'guitaro5000' with the caption, "I'm asking people to sing in Union Square Park, New York City! I see Laksh watching from afar and ask him if he'll sing! He was initially nervous, trying to think of an artist I might know. After talking about his travels to New York City and what part of India he's from, I offered to learn an Indian song in Hindi for him! He was surprised I'd be willing to try and bring up a classic song by a Bollywood legend. His expression afterwards made my day! As a musician, I'm all about creating musical experiences that have people feeling happy and free, and that's why the "Sing With Me for Free" series exists. Since 2018, I have asked thousands of random people to sing with me on camera. Many people have said no, some have said no initially but changed their minds to yes, and some have said yes right away. I ask these people to sing with one purpose: to create a way to experience a sense of happiness and freedom they did not feel before. And much of the time, this works (and that makes ME happy)."
The video begins with a musician named Reggie standing like a local busker with a microphone and guitar in New York City's Union Square Park. He then invites the Indian visitor, Laksh, to join him in singing a song. Reggie invites Laksh to sing a Hindi song during their talk, and the latter chooses Neele Neele Ambar. What follows is a stunning performance that will leave you speechless.
