PhD student studying biotechnology runs fast food stall to make ends meet: 'Underrated gem, bro'
In a video that is going viral, a vlogger came across Raiyaan's fast food stall and he started to compliment his food when he learnt he wasn't just a good cook, he was also a student funding his studies.
"If you just Google my name..." he starts to say. "Your shop?" queries the vlogger visiting the fast food stall. "No, not shop. My research articles," Raiyaan admits.
Darul Raiyaan is a PhD student studying biotechnology at SRM University. He also works part-time to fund his studies. In a video that is going viral, a vlogger came across his fast food stall and he started to compliment his food when he learnt Raiyaan wasn't just a good cook, he was also a student funding his studies. His cheerful demeanour gave nothing away, Raiyaan seemed quite happy dishing out one plate of chicken 65 after another. This is his story.

The seems to have been shared by AIN (Parody) on X but Darul Raiyaan's story still continues to resonate with many. A vlogger who came to his stall to order a plate of chicken 65 had quite the eye-opening conversation with Raiyaan who as the conversation progressed revealed that he's A PhD student studying biotechnology at SRM University, and if you Google his name, you'll find the research papers he's published.
"I'm doing my studies also. Now I'm doing my PhD," Raiyaan turns to the camera to say. Surprised, the vlogger asks, "Wow at the same time! Oh, what are you studying?" This is when Raiyaan talks about his subject and names his university. "If you just Google my name..." Raiyaan starts to say. "Your shop?" the man behind the camera says trying to understand just how popular his stall is. "No, not shop. My research articles" Raiyaan adds with a smile on his face.
Touched by his story and the effort he's putting in daily, the vlogger proceeds to pay him which is when Raiyaan hesitates because he only wants what the dish is worth, nothing more. The vlogger whose name isn't mentioned then tries to convince him: "You are working hard for your school work and you are doing a great job man. It's so good. Thank you so much."
Raiyaan relents and says, "Thank you so much for the help."
In a world where people are doing their hardest to make the best life for themselves, Raiyaan's story stands out. His happy demeanour, his effortless charm and his hustler attitude found appreciation online.

The clip was shared on a parody account called AIN on August 27. "This man deserves to be made famous. Twitter do your thing," the caption read. And people on the internet hear that request since so far it has raked in 206.3k views, 6,185 likes and heartfelt comments to match.
