Royal Fun: Cheeky Prince William Takes Booking At Indian Restaurant In Birmingham
Prince William surprises people with his playful and humorous side at an Indian restaurant in Birmingham by taking a customer booking.
Before King Charles III¡¯s coronation in May, next-in-line Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton are on a tour of the country. As part of their tour, the husband-and-wife duo visited an Indian street food restaurant in Birmingham. While there, Prince William won hearts with his cheeky move to take a booking for the restaurant.
Prince William Takes Booking At Indian Restaurant
The Prince and Princess of Wales were treated to a gala of food at the Indian Streatery restaurant in Bennets Hill. While they told the restaurant owners about their choice of food and drinks, the couple also admitted that they loved Indian cuisine and even went hunting for curry houses throughout the country.
People had the most fun when an unsuspecting customer called up the restaurant, and as a fun trick, Prince William picked up the phone. Although the prince made no efforts to hide his identity, the customer had no idea who he was talking to on the phone.
The customer asked the "restaurant employee" if there was a table open for two people. Prince William had a hard time giving the customer the right directions to the restaurant, which should have been clue enough for him to figure out that something was not quite right with the eatery¡¯s "employee." But the customer suspected no such thing.
He went on to book a reservation for two with the prince on the phone as people in the background had the time of their lives. Watching her husband¡¯s mischievous behaviour, the princess too was giggling away at the impromptu prank call. After taking the reservation, the Prince told the staff, "He knows where you are now; I probably sent him somewhere else in Birmingham, so I apologise."

The Customer Who Unknowingly Interacted With The Prince Was Completely Surprised
The customer who had a chance interaction with England¡¯s royalty was Vinay Aggarwal, who wanted to make a booking for himself and his wife, Ankita Gulati. The software engineer told Sky News that he had "no idea" that Prince William was on the other side of the phone. He added, "It's pretty amazing and a surprise. I didn't know at that moment, but it's a very nice surprise."
The restaurant owner, Meena Sharma, also commented on Prince William¡¯s mischief: "All of us around him were really surprised he actually picked up the phone and actually said, This is the Indian Streatery', and there was a genuine person on the other end wanting to make a booking."
