Jaswiendre Singh, a gas station owner from Phoenix, is selling gas at a huge cheap price to "give a break to the customer and my community".
The Sikh community and its people have always tried to make sure that they give back to the community and people all around, for the greater good. Jaswinder Singh from Phoenix, USA is making sure he continues to follow that tradition.
Jaswinder Singh is a gas station owner and in a recent stint, he lowered the price of petrol for customers - bearing a loss himself. He is selling gas for $5.19 a gallon, 47 cents cheaper than the purchase price. Although he is losing out on $500 a day, he said he has no regrets about it.
He is doing so to "give a break to the customer and my community". He said his mother and father taught him to help others. ¡°If you have something, you have to share it with other people.¡±
He also mentioned how he has been doing this for a while. The more the prices of the gas increased, the more discount Singh gave.
According to NBC News, the man has been putting up in Phoenix for over two decades. He has three kids, one of whom is in college. He said he works from 4 a.m. to midnight every day with his wife, Ramandeep Kaur.
The man has a lot of expenses to cover. But he believes in helping humanity and that is what he said his religion teaches everyone.
