This Diwali Haryana Man Distributes 1000 Sanitary Napkins To Underprivileged Girls
Ajay Kumar Bahl was determined to help all those women and girls who still struggle to access sanitary napkins and he chose to celebrate Diwali by helping them. According to a Navbharat Times, founder of Ek Sangharsh, a non-profit organisation, Bahl spread awareness about basic menstrual health awareness and distributed Sanitary pads to women from poor backgrounds.
He has already distributed over 21,000 packets of sanitary napkins to approximately 3,800 women and young girls in slums regions and public schools of Sahupura, Pali, Korali, Chhainsa, Ajronda, Fatehpur Billoch and Samaypur in Faridabad since March this year.
The reports state that he aims to continue his campaign by distributing 1,000 more this festive season.
That's not all, Bahl has also helped install sanitary napkin vending machines in many public schools in the city as part of his crusade.
He has also helped children studying in government schools by providing them with stationery materials like notebooks, pens, pencils and schoolbags since 2007.
They say change comes from within and Ajay Kumar Bahl is the ideal example.
