Pure Discipline When Following Traffic Rules - Can You Guess Which Indian State This Is?
The viral picture on Twitter shows how people in Mizoram diligently follow the traffic rules and patiently wait in queues.
Every Indian citizen who has to travel from one point to another must be well aware of how irritating it is to be stuck in traffic. One would expect metropolitan cities to do better at handling traffic, but it is much worse there. People are always in a hurry and try to squeeze in their vehicle literally anywhere making it worse for others.
Basically, when you think about traffic rules in India, there are none that are really followed. However, a rare picture from our own country is going insanely viral showing how people have been following traffic rules with diligence.
This picture was shared by Twitter user Sandeep Ahlawat. It shows a street in Mizoram where commuters managed to stay in the demarcated line and did not try to overtake any other vehicle. There was no unruly behaviour either.
The post was captioned, "I have seen this kind of discipline only in Mizoram. There are no fancy cars, no big egos, no road rage, no honking and no 'tu janta nahi tera baap ko hai'.. no one is in a tearing hurry...there is calm and serenity all around."

The picture was also praised by Industrialist Anand Mahindra who reshared the post on his own Twitter account. He was inspired by the people of Mizoram and wrote, ¡°What a terrific pic; Not even one vehicle straying over the road marker. Inspirational, with a strong message: it¡¯s up to US to improve the quality of our lives. Play by the rules¡ A big shoutout to Mizoram.¡±

People on the internet agreed to this and lauded this unusual sight where no single person's foot was out of line. Several other users then ended up sharing similar pictures from their cities, where too, people were all in line, with no sign of road rage or accidents.
One user said, "For the first time seeing such traffic discipline in India. Bows to the people of Mizoram. Hope this propagates everywhere in our country." Another user said, "It¡¯s common sense whatever the terrain. You overtake, you risk accidents, or bottlenecks causing traffic jams. Everyone in a single line, everyone gets to their destination quickly."

Happy to see such discipline, in Mumbai maximum 2 wheelers would have gone from the wrong lane and jammed the traffic in other lane as well.

2 wheelers would be followed by 3-wheelers creating unwanted chaos on a daily basis.
Watching a scene like this only makes us wish that everyone shows discipline when it comes to traffic rules. Imagine the time and effort that will be saved.
