We know there are heroes without capes but there are also those heroes who die in the act of saving others without being sung about. O Yadaiah is one such hero.
The 48-year-old was a temporary Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) driver and he made sure to dock his bus safely at the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station in Gowliguda before collapsing on the steering wheel of a heart attack of which he eventually died. The bus reportedly had more than a dozen passengers on board when the tragedy happened.
A conductor, G Santosh, who witnessed the incident reportedly said, ¡°It was his presence of mind that saved so many lives. Not only of those inside the bus but also those waiting at the packed bus station. We could hear him scream in pain; yet he did not stop the bus until he safely parked it.¡±

After the incident O Yadaiah was rushed to the hospital. ¡°Though he was rushed here soon after he suffered the heart attack, doctors could not revive him,¡± TOI quoted his brother O Ramesh as saying.
Yadaiah left behind his wife Saritha and Venkatesh, his 18-year-old son. ¡°I have no idea how we will survive...how will my son continue with his education,¡± the grieving wife cried. Yadaiah had been working with TSRTC for less than a week and was hired to fill in for RTC employees who were protesting. His last trip was only his third assignment.
The man not only risked but actually gave his own life and avoided what could have been a tragic accident on the road which might have claimed more than one life.
