Overcrowded public transport is not something that comes as a surprise to any Indian. We have grown up believing that people hanging from the doors of buses and trains is normal - a part of everyday life.
No matter how overcrowded the public transport is, a middle class Indian believes that there is always enough space for them and people traveling with them. One squeeze here, one butt there and you are in. It all comes from the ¡®jugaad¡¯ gene in us and what this couple did, proves that conclusively.
A couple in West Bengal, probably thought that getting in through the door of a bus is too basic, because they came up with a solution of their own. They walked to the side of the bus, the husband lifted his wife up and shoved her head-first through the open window of the bus, according to News18 Bangla. The hilarious incident was captured on camera and the video is now going viral.
The incident occured in Sagar Dweep last week in West Bengal. It is the point where the river Ganga meets the waters of Bay of Bengal. The buses were especially overcrowded owing to the fact that pilgrims were traveling back and forth from Gangasagar during Makar Sankranti.
Almost 18 lakh people visited Gangasagar this year to take a dip and the weekend was particularly crowded, as those people made their way back to their homes.
Don¡¯t know about others, but this couple in all probability got home in time.
