Although seeing a Maruti 800 still working fine on the roads of India is in itself an eyebrow-raiser, it was the car¡¯s monster wheels that stunned the Internet. The video showcased how some car enthusiasts had modified the Maruti 800 into a monster truck replica.
The changes in the car were significant, even when all they had done to it was change the wheels. The Instagram page introduced the car and mistakenly mentioned that the Maruti 800 model was an Alto model of the same company. They wrote in the captions, "No one can Beat the Capability of Alto." and even added text on the video that read, "It¡¯s always the Lord Alto."

Nearly 40 years ago, the Maruti 800 was introduced in India. At the time, the then PM Indira Gandhi handed over the keys to the first-selling model of the car to Harpal Singh, who had paid a handsome check of Rs 47,500. The moment went on to become one of the most iconic moments in Indian automotive history.
