A video of an Uttar Pradesh bus driver's innovative solution for a nonfunctional wiper has gone viral on the internet. Twitter user Vipin Rathaur shared the video on his timeline, which is now going viral. The caption of the video can be closely translated to "Wiper working with 'jugaad' in the Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation bus."
In the viral video, as shot by the user, a bus operated by the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) can be seen parked at what looked like a bus stop. The noticeable thing on the bus is a water bottle that is fastened to the wiper. The driver has control over the wiper action via the rope fastened to the opposing side. The wiper is operating with the hanging water bottle as he moves the rope from his driver's seat. A for innovation.
The video is now viral
Ever since posted the video has gathered more than 10k views on Twitter and a host of likes and comments. Needless to say, some people love the jugaad by the desi bus driver. A user wrote, "Uttam technology for people of Uttam Pradesh. Do they also have to take an anti septic shot before boarding the bus?"

Another user shed light on how this is a matter of poor services and wrote, "Well, this is a matter of thinking and realising what facility we are getting after paying tax, is this a good service? How painful it is for bus drivers, they are being provided with good buses and service so do we We are not realising that we are getting nothing from government."

In response to all these complaints, the bus authorities, UPSRTC Meerut, came to the rescue and fixed the wiper. They also shared a video of the working wiper on the same bus and responded to the tweet. The tweet read, "Action has been taken against the culprits in this regard. The wiper of the bus was repaired and operated on the route only."
