Fans of MBC's new K-drama When the Phone Rings have breathed a sigh of relief after the broadcast network confirmed the upcoming episodes will release as scheduled with no delays. Also streaming on Netflix, the Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin starrer will drop episodes 5 and 6 this week.
K-drama fans, we come bearing good news! After a week of whirlwind affair, MBC Network has finally confirmed the broadcast schedule for the upcoming episodes of When the Phone Rings. The hit K-drama, starring Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin, left fans on the edge after episodes 5 & 6 were cancelled by the makers last minute due to special news reports taking over the time slot. The mystery thriller aired every Friday and Saturday at 21:50 KST before the schedule was halted last week. Well, it's back on track again, and fans couldn't be more excited!

2024 has been one joyride for the K-drama community, with the release of a number of shows that have left us awestruck, tearful, and eagerly anticipating the next episode. But, just when we thought it couldn't get better, When the Phone Rings dropped like a bombshell on November 22, 2024 with a global premiere on Netflix, ringing all the bells loud and clear and leaving fans swooning. So far, four episodes of the show have been released.
For those who might have missed it, the romance thriller has been adapted from Geoneomulnyeo's webtoon The Number You Have Dialed. It follows Baek Sae On (Yoo Yeon Seok) and his 'mute' wife Hong Hee Joo (Chae Soo Bin) whose marriage of convenience gets a wake-up call from a mysterious kidnapper, which leads to some startling revelations.

Fans of When the Phone Rings were bracing themselves for another potential delay after South Korean President Yoon Seok Yeol's impeachment vote was rescheduled for Saturday (December 14). Since the impeachment vote, which first took place last Saturday (December 7), led to disruption of schedule, fans were uncertain about the release of this week's episode.
However, MBC has now cleared the confusion. When The Phone Rings will air its anticipated fifth episode on Friday, December 13, at 9:40 PM KST, and its sixth episode on Saturday, December 14, at 9:50 PM KST. Additionally, it also cleared that all the upcoming episodes will be released as scheduled, confirming Friday-Saturday K-Drama Motel California, starring actors Lee Se Young and Na In Woo, would premiere on January 10 next year.
