Entrepreneur Ankur Warikoo took to Instagram to announce that he received 57 out of 100 in English on his CBSE 12th board exam.
Though he admits to feeling like a failure at the time, he subsequently realized something very important: a person's grades do not define them.
What did Ankur Warikoo share?
¡°Scored only 57/100 in English in Class 12. I honestly did not expect this disaster! Felt like a failure. But today, people call me a good communicator. Someone who is a confident speaker. If my marks were a true reflection of my capability, I would be nowhere!¡± Warikoo took to Instagram.
Why Warikoo felt like a failure?
In the following words, he continued, "So, for anyone feeling the same way I did back then, remember. Your marks do not have the power to define you; only you do. Take it from someone who has failed multiple times," he said.
He also offered words of encouragement to students. "The fact that you are still alive is the greatest gift you have. You have time. You've got you. "Make the most of it," he said. He concluded his tweet with a photograph of his class 12 board exam marksheet.
How did people on the internet react?
The post was shared just over 13 hours ago. Since then, the share has received almost 73,000 likes. The post has received numerous comments from readers.
"I scored 98, but I'm still not fluent in English," an Instagram user wrote. Warikoo responded, "Marks are a joke".
Another participant said, "Actually, the 10th and 12th grades scarcely matter later in life. What important is our mindset and how we live our life, taking risks and facing failure. "Our never-give-up, try-till-the-end attitude."
A third person commented, "You are so inspiring." A fourth added, "A single piece of paper can never define who you are."
