Delhi election results 2025
Most exit polls predicted a BJP-led victory, potentially bringing the party back to power in Delhi after 28 years.
As per the exit polls, Congress was unlikely to gain much, while AAP, if re-elected, would secure its fourth consecutive term, surpassing Congress' 15-year rule.
The Delhi Assembly elections saw a 60.54% voter turnout on February 5.
Delhi Election 2025: AAP vs BJP vs Congress
Arvind Kejriwal's AAP first came to power in Delhi in December 2013 but resigned after just 49 days.
In 2015, the party made a strong comeback, winning 67 out of 70 seats, leaving the BJP with only three and Congress with none.
AAP repeated its success in 2020, securing 62 seats, while the BJP won eight and Congress failed to open its account again.
However, the 2025 elections present new challenges for AAP, including anti-incumbency, corruption allegations, and party defections.
This time, Atishi is AAP's Chief Ministerial candidate, contesting from Kalkaji, while Kejriwal is running from New Delhi.
The BJP, expected to gain ground, has fielded Ramesh Bidhuri in Kalkaji and Parvesh Verma in New Delhi.
Congress, aiming for a comeback, has pitted Alka Lamba against Atishi and Sandeep Dikshit against Kejriwal.
