Elon Musk reshares old video, claims: 'There are no lords and peasants at Tesla, everyone eats at the same table'

Elon Musk, the world's richest person, is known for his outspoken views on social media. While his activity on X (formerly Twitter) draws significant attention, there's another side to him that remains less explored: his management style and the experience of working at Tesla, the innovative automotive and clean energy company he co-founded.

Recently, Elon Musk shared a revealing old video from the 2023 New York Times DealBook Summit on X, shedding light on his leadership style and what it's truly like to work at Tesla.

In the video, Musk emphasises the egalitarian culture within the company, stating, "There are many people at Tesla who have goen from working on the line to being in senior management. There is no lords and peasants at Tesla. Everyone eats at the same table. Everyone parks in the same parking lot."

Musk further highlights his connection with employees, recalling his own experiences: "I actually know the people on the line because I worked on the line, I walked the line, I slept in the factory, and I worked beside them. So, I'm no stranger to them."

He proudly notes, "Many people who were just working the line, who didn't even know what stocks were, we've made them millionaires."

His gratitude for the workforce is evident as he states, "I just want to say that I'm incredibly appreciative of those who build the cars, and they know it."

This sense of appreciation is echoed by a former employee of Indian descent who worked at Tesla for two years, Saiman Shetty.

Shetty had recently shared his experience on Instagram, revealing that Musk would often send emails at unusual hours to acknowledge employees' hard work and express his gratitude. As he put it, "Elon did not make any one employee feel unappreciated."
