Harihar Fort also known as Harshagad, is one majestic man-made high-rise, and its main attraction is the 60M height pinnacle, and the steps curved on it.
An ideal getaway for wild adventurers, the fort, with its steep slope, delivers on many counts. The climb, fraught with danger and challenges, calls for physical strength of the finest kind. Full of nerve-wracking adventure, it beckons climbers from all over the world.

At many places, the steps have worn out but the small holes curved on both edges of the steps are helpful to hold. The first half of the steps are curved on the scarp of the pinnacle and the remaining are curved inside the pinnacle. Last part is precipitous than the first one as the height of the steps increases as you go up.
The journey to the summit starts from the base point in the village of Nirgudpada located on Trimbak-Igatpuri road. One has to trek less than 5 KM to reach the top from the base village, Nirgudpada, and will take less than 2 hours.
While the journey takes its toll and could be life-threating, the jaw-dropping views and beautiful scenery on the way up makes the trek all the more worthwhile.
