Tim Walz slams Elon Musk for helping Donald Trump 'buy an election': 'He's jumping around, skipping like a dipsh*t'
At a rally in the swing state of Wisconsin on October 22, Tim Walz - Kamala Harris's running mate - accused Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk of trying to help Trump "buy an election," calling out the billionaire¡¯s recent million-dollar giveaways.
Elon Musk has been paying people to sign a petition promoting free speech and a right to bear arms, a move seen as an indirect way to boost support for Donald Trump. Additionally, he's launched million-dollar giveaways linked to Trump's re-election campaign. Since Musk is compensating individuals for signing the petition rather than directly paying for votes, he has managed to escape any legal consequence in U.S. election laws. In a rally on Tuesday, Tim Walz, Kamala Harris's running mate, openly criticised Musk, accusing him of trying to help Trump "buy an election" through these tactics.
At a rally in the key swing state of Wisconsin on October 22, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz took the stage with former President Barack Obama, drawing the crowd's attention not only to the presidential race rivals but also to the world's richest person.
While Walz naturally aimed criticism at the Republican ticket, he didn¡¯t limit his jabs to just Trump and his official running mate, J.D. Vance.
Instead, he took aim at what he dubbed Trump¡¯s "real" running mate¡ªTesla CEO Elon Musk.
In a fiery speech, Walz referenced Musk¡¯s recent appearance at a Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where the billionaire had jumped energetically on stage to greet the crowd.
¡°Elon's on that stage, jumping around, skipping like a dipsh*t ¨C on these things,¡± Walz remarked.
He went on to call out Musk's deep pockets and political influence, stating, ¡°That guy is literally the richest man in the world, spending millions of dollars to help Donald Trump buy an election.¡±

Walz further criticised the tactics employed by the campaign, accusing Musk of using his wealth to manipulate public sentiment while Trump's populist image leaned on common folks.
¡°There¡¯s something cruel about a billionaire using people¡¯s livelihoods as a political prop,¡± Walz said, referencing Trump¡¯s highly publicised visit to a McDonald¡¯s restaurant, which was seen as an attempt to connect with working-class voters.
